WASHINGTON, June 11 -- Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, has introduced legislation (S. 1984) to "require the Secretary of Transportation to establish a grant program to improve the functioning of traffic signals through the implementation of innovative technology."
The bill was introduced on June 9 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, Gary Peters, D-Mich., and Margaret Wood Hassan, D-N.H. It was referred to the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.
