WASHINGTON, May 12 -- Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., has introduced legislation (S. 1542) to amend titles XIX and XXI of the Social Security Act "to improve Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program for low-income mothers."
The bill was introduced on May 10 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
