WASHINGTON, May 12 -- Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., has introduced legislation (S. 1541) to amend the Communications Act of 1934 "to require the Federal Communications Commission to ensure just and reasonable charges for telephone and advanced communications services in correctional and detention facilities."
The bill was introduced on May 10 and has 11 co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Sens. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, Cory Booker, D-N.J., Angus S. King Jr., I-Maine . . .
