WASHINGTON, May 12 -- Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., has introduced legislation (S. 1538) to amend the Smith River National Recreation Area Act "to include certain additions to the Smith River National Recreation Area, to amend the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to designate certain wild rivers in the State of Oregon."
The bill was introduced on May 10 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., Alex Padilla, D-Calif., and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. It was referred to the Senate Energy . . .
