WASHINGTON, March 4 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's National Park Service announced that it expects to award grants for tribal cultural and historic preservation projects.
The agency description of the grant states: "The National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 authorizes grants to federally recognized Tribes for cultural and historic preservation projects.
