WASHINGTON, March 3 -- Sen. Angus S. King Jr., I-Maine, has introduced legislation (S. 491) to amend the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act "to designate certain river segments in the York River watershed in the State of Maine as components of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System."
The bill was introduced on March 1 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine. It was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
