WASHINGTON, Feb. 27 -- Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., has introduced legislation (S. 484) to "establish grant programs for maternal mental health equity and to grow and diversify the maternal mental and behavioral health care workforce."
The bill was introduced on Feb. 25 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Tina Smith, D-Minn., Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
