WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 -- Sen. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass., has introduced legislation (S. 433) to "establish the National Office of New Americans, to reduce obstacles to U.S. citizenship, to support the integration of immigrants into the social, cultural, economic, and civic life of the U.S."
The bill was introduced on Feb. 24 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Mazie K. Hirono, D-Hawaii, Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Commit . . .
