WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 -- Sen. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass., has introduced legislation (S. 425) to "require States to establish complete streets programs."
The bill was introduced on Feb. 24 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., and Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii. It was referred to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
