WASHINGTON, Dec. 29 -- Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., has introduced legislation (S. 5078) to amend the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Act "to extend the temporary relief from troubled debt restructurings."
The bill was introduced on Dec. 21 and was co-sponsored by Sens. John Kennedy, R-La., Robert Menendez, D-N.J., and Jon Tester, D-Mont. It was referred to the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
