WASHINGTON, Nov. 20 -- Sen. Thomas R. Carper, D-Del., has introduced legislation (S. 4914) to amend title 23, U.S. Code, "to establish a grant program for transportation projects to improve Tribal health, well-being, and youth safety."
The bill was introduced on Nov. 18 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., Jon Tester, D-Mont., Martin Heinrich, D-N.M., and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. It was referred to the Senate Indian Affairs Committee.
