WASHINGTON, Nov. 20 -- Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., has introduced legislation (S. 4911) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 "to extend the exclusion for compensation for injuries or sickness to encompass post-traumatic stress disorder."
The bill was introduced on Nov. 18. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
