WASHINGTON, Oct. 26 -- Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., has introduced legislation (S. 4850) to amend the Food Security Act of 1985 "to create permanent payments within the environmental quality incentives program for soil health practices and carbon sequestration monitoring."
The bill was introduced on Oct. 23. It was referred to the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee.
