WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 -- Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., has introduced legislation (S. 4823) to create a national zero-emission vehicle standard.
The bill was introduced on Oct. 20 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Cory Booker, D-N.J. It was referred to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
