WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 -- Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., has introduced legislation (S. 4821) to amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 "to clarify that utility line technicians qualify as emergency response providers."
The bill was introduced on Oct. 20. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
