WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 -- Sen. Mazie K. Hirono, D-Hawaii, has introduced legislation (S. 4819) to improve the health of minority individuals.

The bill was introduced on Oct. 20 and has eight co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., Cory Booker, D-N.J., Benjamin Cardin, D-Md., and Tim Kaine, D-Va.
