Sen. Scott Introduces Bill on Restrictions on Issuance of Non-Immigrant Visas to Chinese Journalists

WASHINGTON, Oct. 7 -- Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., has introduced legislation (S. 4797) to "place restrictions on the issuance of non-immigrant visas to Chinese journalists employed by a Chinese state-run media organization or effectively controlled by the Government of the People's Republic of China or the Chinese Communist Party."

The bill was introduced on Oct. 5 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
