WASHINGTON, Aug. 6 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, has introduced legislation (S. 4423) to amend title XI of the Social Security Act "to provide the Secretary of Health and Human Services with the authority to temporarily modify certain Medicare requirements for hospice care during the COVID public health emergency."
The bill was introduced on Aug. 4 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
