WASHINGTON, Aug. 6 -- Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., has introduced legislation (S. 4415) to "provide health care and benefits to veterans who were exposed to toxic substances while serving as members of the Armed Forces at Karshi Khanabad Air Base, Uzbekistan."
The bill was introduced on Aug. 4 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis. It was referred to the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee.
