WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 -- Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., has introduced legislation (S. 4400) to regulate the collection, retention, disclosure, and destruction of biometric information.
The bill was introduced on Aug. 3 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
