WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 -- Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., has introduced legislation (S. 4398) to "provide compensation to certain residents of the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico, for the use of such island for military readiness."
The bill was introduced on Aug. 3 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
