WASHINGTON, July 4 -- Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., has introduced legislation (S. 4187) to "establish the Intercity Passenger Rail Trust Fund to ensure a safe, sustainable, convenient transportation option for the people of the U.S."
The bill was introduced on July 2 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Tom Udall, D-N.M. It was referred to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
