WASHINGTON, July 4 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, has introduced legislation (S. 4172) to "provide emergency funding for child welfare services provided under parts B and E of title IV of the Social Security Act."
The bill was introduced on July 2 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Kamala D. Harris, D-Calif., Robert Casey Jr., D-Pa., and Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
