WASHINGTON, June 6 -- Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., has introduced legislation (S. 3903) to "direct the Secretary of Defense to enter into an agreement with a federally funded research and development center for a study on the barriers to minority participation in the elite units of the Armed Forces."
The bill was introduced on June 4. It was referred to the Senate Armed Services Committee.
