WASHINGTON, June 6 -- Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., has introduced legislation (S. 3899) to "direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to carry out a retraining assistance program for unemployed veterans."

The bill was introduced on June 4 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Jon Tester, D-Mont., Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., and Mazie K. Hirono, D-Hawaii. It was referred to the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee.
