WASHINGTON, March 27 -- Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, has introduced legislation (S. 3586) to "reduce Federal spending and fund the acquisition of unexpired personal protective equipment (including face masks) for the strategic national stockpile by terminating taxpayer financing of Presidential election campaigns."
The bill was introduced on March 25 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
