WASHINGTON, March 26 -- Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich., has introduced legislation (S. 3577) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 "to provide a tax exemption for distilled spirits used for hand sanitizer."
The bill was introduced on March 24 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., and Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
