WASHINGTON, Jan. 17 -- Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., has introduced legislation (S. 3217) to standardize the designation of National Heritage Areas.
The bill was introduced on Jan. 16 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., Gary Peters, D-Mich., Martin Heinrich, D-N.M., and Edward J. Markey, D-Mass. It was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
