WASHINGTON, Jan. 17 -- Sen. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass., has introduced legislation (S. 3197) to "revoke or deny visas to Chinese officials involved in the formulation or execution of a policy that prevents innocent U.S. citizens from leaving China."
The bill was introduced on Jan. 15 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., and Marco Rubio, R-Fla. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
