WASHINGTON, Jan. 11 -- Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., has introduced legislation (S. 3170) to amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 "to expand access to breastfeeding accommodations in the workplace."
The bill was introduced on Jan. 9 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, Cory Booker, D-N.J., and Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.
