WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 -- Sen. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine, has introduced legislation (S. 3048) to "authorize certain aliens seeking asylum to be employed in the U.S. while their applications are being adjudicated."
The bill was introduced on Dec. 12 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
