WASHINGTON, Nov. 11 -- The Department of Defense Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences announced that it expects to award up to 25 discretionary grants for the training and provision of service dogs to disabled service members and veterans.
The estimated total program funding available was cited as $10 million.
The funding is open to nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS.
