WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 -- Sen. Deb Fischer, R-Neb., has introduced legislation (S. 2829) to amend the Communications Act of 1934 and title 17, U.S. Code, "to enhance the ability of direct broadcast satellite providers to offer additional local broadcast services to consumers under limited circumstances."
The bill was introduced on Nov. 7. It was referred to the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.
