WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, has introduced legislation (S. 2827) to amend title 54, U.S. Code, "to establish within the National Park Service the U.S. African- American Burial Grounds Network."
The bill was introduced on Nov. 7 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn. It was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
