WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 -- Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., has introduced legislation (S. 2824) to amend title 17, U.S. Code, "to require the Register of Copyrights to waive fees for filing an application for registration of a copyright claim in certain circumstances."
The bill was introduced on Nov. 7 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, D-Vt. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
