WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 -- Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., has introduced legislation (S. 2811) to amend title 38, U.S. Code, "to extend the authority of the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to continue to pay educational assistance or subsistence allowances to eligible persons when educational institutions are temporarily closed."
The bill was introduced on Nov. 7 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. It was referred to the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee.
