WASHINGTON, Nov. 8 -- Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., has introduced legislation (S. 2809) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to impose a surtax on high income individuals.
The bill was introduced on Nov. 7 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
