WASHINGTON, Nov. 7 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, has introduced legislation (S. 2772) to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act "to provide for treatment of clinical psychologists as physicians for purposes of furnishing clinical psychologist services under the Medicare program."
The bill was introduced on Nov. 5 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine, and Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
