WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 -- Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., has introduced legislation (S. 2557) to amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 "to improve the financial aid process for students, to provide continued support for minority-serving institutions."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 26. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
