WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, has introduced legislation (S. 2552) to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act "to provide an option for first responders age 50 to 64 who are separated from service due to retirement or disability to buy into Medicare."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 26. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
