WASHINGTON, Sept. 19 -- Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., has introduced legislation (S. 2502) to "ban the Federal procurement of certain drones and other unmanned aircraft systems."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 18 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., Josh Hawley, R-Mo., Marco Rubio, R-Fla., Christopher S. Murphy, D-Conn., and Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
