WASHINGTON, Sept. 19 -- Sen. Catherine Cortez-Masto, D-Nev., has introduced legislation (S. 2497) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 "to exclude certain dependent income when calculating modified adjusted gross income for the purposes of eligibility for premium tax credits."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 18 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, and Jacky Rosen, D-Nev. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
