WASHINGTON, Sept. 19 -- Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, has introduced legislation (S. 2487) to "improve the effectiveness and efficiency and reduce the cost of the supply chain and inventory management of the Department of Defense by consolidating unnecessary and unneeded storage centers."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 17. It was referred to the Senate Armed Services Committee.
