Washington, Sept. 18 -- Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., has introduced legislation (S. 2483) to "counter efforts by foreign governments to pursue, harass, or otherwise persecute individuals for political and other unlawful motives overseas."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 17 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Benjamin Cardin, D-Md., Marco Rubio, R-Fla., Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., and Cory Gardner, R-Colo. It was referred to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
