WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 -- Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., has introduced legislation (S. 2479) to "provide clarification regarding the common or usual name for bison and compliance with section 403 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 16 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., Mike Braun, R-Ind., and Tina Smith, D-Minn. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
