WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's U.S. Geological Survey announced that it intends to award a $165,000 cooperative agreement to the University of Tennessee for the provision of a space for the Southern Appalachian Field Branch in support of joint research and data collection activities.
The agency description of the grant states: "A long-standing relationship has existed between the University of Tennessee (UT) Department of Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheri . . .
