WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 -- The Government Accountability Office has issued a report on funding and projects the U.S. has provided under the Merida Initiative. The report (GAO-19-647) is titled "U.S. Assistance to Mexico: State and USAID Allocated over $700 Million to Support Criminal Justice, Border Security, and Related Efforts from Fiscal Year 2014 through 2018".
The report was sent to Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisconsin, chairman, Sen. Gary Peters, D-Michigan, ranking member of the Senate . . .
