Washington, Sept. 10 -- Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., has introduced legislation (S. 2448) to "control the export of electronic waste in order to ensure that such waste does not become the source of counterfeit goods that may reenter military and civilian electronics supply chains in the U.S."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 9 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn. It was referred to the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
