WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' National Institutes of Health announced that it expects to award up to 13 discretionary grants for the identification and characterization of potential therapeutic candidates to treat heart, lung, blood, and sleep diseases and disorders.
