WASHINGTON, Aug. 2 -- Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., has introduced legislation (S. 2430) to "provide an exemption from certain requirements for federally funded projects and activities in areas not in metropolitan statistical areas."
The bill was introduced on Aug. 1 and was co-sponsored by Sens. David Perdue, R-Ga., and Cindy Hyde-Smith, R-Miss. It was referred to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
